As an Executive Sous Chef at Hotel Bel-Air you will be compensated a yearly salary between the range of $110,000 to $ 115,000.

What you'll do

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:
A day in the life of our  Executive Sous Chef …it demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the tasks that our Executive Sous Chef accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know. 
·         Our Executive Sous Chef are responsible for managing Sous Chefs in all outlets. Our  Executive Sous Chef track the kitchen’s inventory, places orders, monitors equipment maintenance and condition, and ensures that a kitchen operates alongside state and federal health and safety codes during their day. This will include food production, preparation, plating and garnishing to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience. Our Executive Sous Chef needs to have the ability to cook in any kitchen and cover any service and must be flexible to the operation schedule.

·         Our Executive Sous Chef will also be responsible for overseeing food and labor costs to ensure adherence to budgetary goals, maintaining profitability while upholding the high standards of fine dining cuisine and service quality.

·         Sometimes our guests have special requests involving the planning and development of menus and recipes, ensuring the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration, utilizing creative menu planning to minimizing waste. Performing special duties as requires such as going to the farmers market, acknowledging dietary restrictions and even special occasions. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our Executive Sous Chef.

·         Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Executive Sous Chef are relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct. 

·         Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Executive Sous Chef must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains. Our Executive Sous Chef must fosters a We Care culture while maintaining hotel standards.

The items shared are essential. However, to ensure consistency, our Executive Sous Chef are provided with specifics on how we care for their department and our hotel. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfil cleaning tasks occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 5 hours per day.
