As a Marketing and Communications Manager at The Beverly Hills Hotel, your compensation will range between $76,000-$78,000 annually. 

What you'll do

A day in the life of our Marketing and Communications Manager demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the tasks that our Marketing and Communications Manager accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.


• Our Marketing & Communications Manager acts as a liaison between the Communication,  Marketing department and operational departments. Is an ambassador for the Marketing and Communications department and assists with enforcing brand guidelines and communicates deliverables to sales and catering team and provides instructions for use or promotion.


• The Marketing  and Communications Manager will  assist with press itineraries, organizing amenities and scheduling and media tours of the hotel as needed. Coordinates donation requests, approvals and distribution. Leads on-property film and photo shoots.


• Our Marketing  and Communications Manager analyzes company and industry data as well as perform market research to update competitive benchmarking reports. Maintains the media database, content library and media drives. Executes overall social media strategy to achieve the objectives within both hotels' sales and marketing plans. Coordinates and manages special projects and perform other tasks as needed. Manages content and photos for online listings/directories (i.e. American Express, Spa Finder, Trip Advisor, etc.) This will include assisting with copywriting, drafting press releases and pitches, etc.

• Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Marketing and Communications Managers are relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct.

• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Marketing and Communications Managers must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains.

 

The items shared are essential. However, to ensure consistency, our Marketing and Communications Managers are provided with specifics on how we care for their department and our hotel.  Our Assistant Marketing  and Communications Manager must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains. This will include working closely partners with hotel operations and takes guidance from the Director of Communications Consultant, Director of Digital and Brand Marketing, and the Area Director of Sales and Marketing.  Works closely with entire sales & marketing division to ensure brand standards and successfully implement communication and marketing initiative. Liaises with communications agencies used by Dorchester Collection.

• Minimum of 3+ years public relations or marketing experience required.


• Excellent writing, communication and organizational skills


• Social media experience


• Ability to research, compile and present data gathered from internet search engines, electronic files and databases


• Exceptional computer skills, with intimate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, InDesign, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop


• Ability to project a positive and professional demeanor and approach, reflective of the hotels’ image and values


• Possess impeccable attention to detail; outstanding time management skills; work quickly and efficiently


• Ideal candidate will be flexible, team-oriented and collaborative
