As a Logistics Supervisor, you'll enjoy your work and take pride in delighting our guests and colleagues:
- Team Supervision: Lead, train, and motivate the logistics team (promoting teamwork and a high standard of service). Delegate tasks effectively and ensure compliance with hotel policies.
- You will receive, check and process delivered goods into the hotel, checking goods against delivery information and purchase orders.
Have a great understanding of what is being delivered - You will liaise constantly with the Hotel Operations and on all aspects of deliveries i.e. incorrect or short deliveries.
- You will ensure that all the equipment within the department, scales, trolleys, computers, printers, etc. are fully functional and not a safety hazard. To report immediately should this not be the case.
- Ensuring that the loading bay and loading bay ramp area are kept clean, hygienic, tidy and safe to work in at all times.
- Recognise and maintain good relations with all colleagues, suppliers & visitors
- Posting Food and Non Food invoices and delivery notes.
Complete weekly rota and timesheet. - Hotel Storage internal and external (currently PPM) to coordinate collection and delivery of ad hoc items.
- Ensure that Loading Bay, Cellar, Stores and Van’s staffing level is monitored so that areas are covered in line with business requirements
- Keep all team training is up to date
- Ensure smooth running of daily cellar operations including Events
Coordinate Van schedules and driver
The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of a Logistics Supervisor, but we’ll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for our hotel.
The operational hours of work are shift-based and may be subjected to change. These currently set as:
- Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 16:30
- Saturday and Sunday: 07:00 - 15:30
- Events 7 days – Depending on events until after midnight
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in Cellars and Loading bay within a large Hotel - at least 3 years performing a range of tasks.
- Be computer literate.
- Holds a valid UK driver’s license
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Adaco Fourth and Docuware
