As the Global Director of Residences, you lead the strategic vision and operational excellence for residential portfolios across multiple regions, ensuring an uncompromising standard of luxury, personalized service, and asset value.  The strategic focus of the role is to drive the Dorchester Collection brand equity through brand extension opportunities and widening the network of global network of Dorchester Collection guests.

You will also drive consistency in brand experience while adapting to local market nuances, championing innovative service delivery, owner satisfaction, and long-term operational sustainability. With a deep understanding of luxury hospitality, property management, and cross-cultural leadership, you empower teams to deliver bespoke living experiences that elevate brand equity and foster enduring resident loyalty.

What you'll do

  • You will define, evolve, and oversee the execution of the Dorchester Collection’s best in class global residences strategy and programme.
  • You will be the global resident journey ambassador and ensure our guest-centric approach is embedded in our residences operations.
  • You’ll introduce new and creative initiatives to set Dorchester Collection apart from competitors.
  • In collaboration with key internal stakeholders, such as the hotel General Managers, Global Director of Guest Experience, and Global Recognition and Relationship Manager, you will ensure seamless experience of our guests across the hotels and residences.
  • You will support the Development Team in initiatives aimed at growing the residences portfolio , including involvement in initial stages of new projects.
  • You will develop Dorchester Collection brand standards for residences and ensure implementation and adherence.
  • You will ensure the highest resident satisfaction and oversee the other residences key performance indicators.
  • You’ll oversee regular reporting of the financial and operational performance of the Residences to both internal and external stakeholders ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • You’ll manage the relationships across multiple asset managers and developers whilst representing Dorchester Collection, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
  • You will deliver all pre-opening requirements for new residences in accordance to budget and timeline specifications.
  • You’ll ensure consistent operational practices across all locations. 
  • You’ll review yearly expenditure budgets including service charge and operational cost expenses with Residence Directors & asset managers/developers.
  • You’ll ensure compliance with all relevant local legislation and oversee governing documents per location.
  • You’ll ensure fire, life, health, security and safety protocols for residents and employees are implemented in all locations.  
  • You will ensure technical and maintenance obligations are fulfilled in accordance with the individual residence agreements.
  • You’ll educate Dorchester Collection employees on the residences pillar of the company.
  • You’ll  lead and direct the Residences Director and Manager community, providing
  • leadership and direction to the team in maintaining the standards of operational and financial performance in all Residences operated by Dorchester Collection. This includes the development of the operational team, identifying learning and development opportunities and ensuring that all involved in the operation of residential services are kept up to date with relevant legislation and best practice.
  • In collaboration with internal stakeholders you will ensure the highest employee satisfaction while advocating for employee retention, development and growth.

What you'll bring

  • You’ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the team.
  • You’ll have upscale luxury experience in residences or hotels.
  • You will be an expert at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will showcase experience with a matrix of service agreements and varied stakeholders (owners, developers, home owners association, lease holders).
  • You will be highly adept at aligning the content of the service agreements with the individual realities of the different residences.
  • You will have previous exposure to complex residence operations and process/project management.
  • You will bring operational expertise in facilities management, technical services and, residential property management.
  • You will an in-depth understanding of the legislation relating to property and facilities management as well as general  regulation and best practices.
  • You will showcase excellent financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • English is the primary language used in our corporate office. You can comfortably communicate in this language. Knowledge of a second language is advantageous
