What you'll do
As our Finance Intern, you’ll get first-hand experience in working in a finance department of a global luxury brand. You will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities across the Corporate Finance department. In this role, you will:
- You will promote and safeguard the Corporate Finance function, ensuring a positive, consistent and accurate representation of Dorchester Collection finance discipline
- Support all areas within the corporate finance team, acting as an ambassador for the department
- You will support the team with month and quarter end tasks as required as well as ad hoc projects
- You will take ownership of designated reporting, ensuring up to date and accurate information is available to the relevant team in a timely manner
- You will learn to use various finance systems to control corporate office travel and other expenses
- You will assist with the banking function, including bank reconciliations and payment transfers
- Assist with the budget process with Dorchester Collection departments
- Various ad hoc tasks, including financial analysis and modelling, filing, preparing auditor queries documentation, etc.
The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of a finance intern, but we’ll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for the Collection. The hours of operation for this role are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm, based in our corporate office in Knightsbridge.
What you'll bring
- You have advanced computer skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- You have good attention to detail, and have problem solving skills
- You are able to manage multiple complex projects and assignments and meet short deadlines
