You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

• In your leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the events sales department achieves the hotels’ financial, business, and marketing objectives, set by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
• You’ll also be responsible for maintaining direct oversight over the events sales department. 
• You will work closely with Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, Finance and the Front Office departments of the hotel to develop and execute an annual Sales budget.
• You will have a passion for looking for the best talent and develop their careers.
• You will ensure that the events team members understand their roles and will clearly communicate them the strategic vision and objectives on how to drive sales and improve performances.
• As a member of the Hotel’s senior management team, you will be responsible for providing the Executive Committee with regular data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required.
• It will be critical for you to consider every situation as a commercial and marketing opportunity to showcase the Hotel products and services.
• You are adept at vendor coordination, confidently managing multiple external suppliers and service providers for group and event operations.
• You will oversee the financial and contractual aspects of Groups & Events, from budgeting and revenue management to invoicing and contract administration.
• You will be knowledgeable in obtaining and coordinating regulatory requirements, including DET and CID permits, ensuring every event complies with local regulations and event-specific requirements.
• As a highly organised project manager, you will coordinate multiple events simultaneously while maintaining high service standards.

• You will take ownership of the events functions.
• You will manage the events team ensuring that all areas adhere to Dorchester Collection values and enabling the hotel to achieve the highest levels of standards and service.
• You will have passion for new trends and relate this to practical business application and be skilled in analysing financial statements and market data.
• As a detail orientated and hands-on Team Player with strong interpersonal skills, you will thrive on mentoring high potential team members to achieve better results and celebrate success within the team.
• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.
• English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language, and any others would be a great asset especially Arabic.
• Event management and RFP platforms are your everyday tools, and you have proven experience managing enquiries, proposals and event workflows.
• You will have strong knowledge of hotel systems and digital tools, including Opera, Power BI and other event and reporting software.
• You will have a relevant university diploma and bring a wealth of past experience working in Events for a luxury group in the Middle East.
